Sharon van Etten, La Laiterie à Strasbourg

Ein wunderbarer kleiner Ausflug ins wunderbare Straßburg zur wunderbaren Sharon van Etten! Zweimal hatte ich sie bereits als Vorband von The National gesehen und sie war bereits als Opener so überzeugend, dass es keinen Zweifel daran gab, dass es sich lohnen würde, die 120 km bis Straßburg auf sich zu nehmen. Bevor es los ging konnten wir dann sogar noch ein bisschen durch Petite France bummeln und leckere Bioquiche mit Biocidre im Künstlercafé "L'Artichaut" genießen.

Sharon war dann wie erwartet wirklich ganz wunderbar und als sie bei Ihrer letzten Zugabe meinte, dass sie sehr hoffe, dass uns das jetzt kommende Lieblingslied ihrer Mama auch gut gefalle, war mein Glück perfekt. Rein zufällig nämlich auch mein Lieblingslied.

A lovely little trip to  lovely Strasbourg for the lovely Sharon van Etten! I had already seen her twice as the opening act for The National, and she had been very convincing as an opener so  that there was no doubt that it would be worth to take on the 120 km to Strasbourg. Before the concert started we still had time to stroll through Petite France and enjoy a tasty organic quiche with organic French cider at the artists' café "L'Artichaut".
Sharon was at least as lovely as expected and at her last song when she said that this song was her mom's favorite and that she hoped that we like it, my happiness was perfect. By pure chance also my favorite song.
